LSU could have its cleanup hitter back if Bryce Jordan pulls a Kyle Schwarber

LSU could have their projected cleanup hitter back for the postseason, but only if the Tigers make a deep enough run into June.

Bryce Jordan, projected as the LSU cleanup hitter before a February knee ligament tear, took swings in the batting cage Monday for the first time since the injury. Jordan said doctors at the time of the injury pegged his return to baseball at eight months -- that would have put him out for the season -- but that has since been shortened to four.

Such a return would make it possible for the designated hitter to play in the College World Series, should LSU make it that far, which would create inevitable comparisons to Kyle Schwarber and his return from a ligament tear to help the Chicago Cubs win the World Series last year.
