BATON ROUGE, La. — Four-star wide receiver commitment Drake Davis is a Baton Rouge native, but he will have taken anything but a direct path to LSU.
After playing varsity football as an eighth-grader at The Dunham School in Baton Rouge, Davis transferred to St. Stanislaus, an all-male boarding school in Bay St. Louis, Miss., for his ninth grade year. Davis was back at Dunham for part of his sophomore year before heading east to Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. He moved again for his senior year, to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., polishing his skills and earning consensus recognition as one of the top 125 prospects in the nation.
