LSU quarterback commitment Myles Brennan is in Oregon this week for Nike's The Opening to compete for Elite 11 MVP honors. He will do so however with a heavy heart.
The 6-foot-4, 183-pound Brennan told the The Sun Herald that he will compete this week in honor of his grandmother who died Saturday at 82.
"Obviously it's tough," Brennan told the news outlet. "No one was expecting this but it's something that I guess can fuel me.
"I can go out and do it for her."
