Johnny Jones hinted Tuesday his hopes that Shaquille O'neal's son, Shareef O'neal, would heavily consider LSU as an eventual college destination.
The Tigers' basketball coach side-stepped a question at an open luncheon press conference about whether the team would be involved in the recruitment of an unnamed sophomore in California with offers from UCLA and USC with ties to the program.
But slyly admitted his interest in the sons of former players following their parents' footsteps to Baton Rouge.
"I tell you, it really is unfortunate that we can't discuss recruiting, but any time any of our former players have any kids, we're hopeful that we could certainly be involved in the conversation in terms of their recruitment," Jones said.
