For the majority of the LSU basketball team’s Saturday afternoon matchup with the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Tigers once again did not look like a team worthy of a potential NCAA Tournament appearance.
But in the final moments, LSU did exactly what NCAA Tournament teams do; buckle down in clutch situations and find a way to win. The Tigers defeated Alabama by a score of 72-70, picking up their first win in Tuscaloosa, Ala. since 2004.
LSU appeared in danger of losing its second game this week, as the Crimson Tide took a three-point lead in the final minutes.
