Entering Saturday, the LSU basketball team was sitting very much on the NCAA Tournament bubble.
With a gutsy 77-71 victory over the No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies, the Tigers made a tremendous stride in solidifying their spot at the Big Dance.
Four LSU players scored in double-figures, with Ben Simmons, Craig Victor, Antonio Blakeney and Keith Hornsby combining for 57 points.
Simmons recorded his 17th double-double of the season, recording 16 points and 11 rebounds. Victor added 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting, Blakeney contributed 15 and Hornsby scored 10, with all three making crucial plays down the stretch.
