Just days removed from a significant victory over the Texas A&M Aggies that began to distance the LSU basketball team from the NCAA Tournament bubble, the Tigers put their postseason aspirations in doubt with a loss to the surging Alabama Crimson Tide.
LSU shot a dismal 38.6 percent from the field and connected on just 20-of-25 free throw attempts, and was unable to overcome a career night from Alabama’s Retin Obasohan. The senior guard recorded a career-high 35 points, leading the Crimson Tide to a 76-69 victory.
