The LSU baseball team returns to action on Wednesday night against the University of New Orleans Privateers, with a familiar face set to appear in the opposing dugout.
Former LSU star Blake Dean is in his first year as the head coach at UNO. Dean played for the Tigers from 2007-2010, earning First-Team All-American honors in 2008 after batting .353 with 20 home runs and 71 RBIs.
Dean was a vital piece of the 2009 LSU team that defeated Texas to win the College World Series.
The Tigers (12-3) enter Wednesday having won eight of their past nine games, but will face a serious test against a UNO team that has posted a 13-3 record this season.
