LSU baseball vs Cincinnati: Pitching matchups, preview and prediction

The lights will come on at Alex Box Stadium for the first time since June on Friday night, as the LSU baseball team hosts the Cincinnati Bearcats to open up the 2016 season.

The Tigers are coming off of a 2015 campaign in which they posted a 54-12 record and reached the College World Series for the second time in three years. The Bearcats did not fare so well last season, finishing the year at 15-41.

LSU enters 2016 having to replace seven of nine starters, including shortstop Alex Bregman, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft.
