The University of San Diego coach figures to find out firsthand when his team visits LSU for a 6:30 p.m. Tuesday first pitch, weather permitting for a night with expected rain showers.
"I hope we can get it in," LSU coach Paul Mainieri said Monday. "They got a real good club. They had a player a few years ago by the name of Kris Bryant, you may have heard of him."
Bryant in 2013 won the Golden Spikes Award as the national college player of the year and more recently was the National League MVP during a 2016 season that ended with him helping the Chicago Cubs to a World Series title.
