LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri knows he can never have enough pitchers, which is why it was good news when Pompano Beach (Fla.) right-handed pitcher Chase Costello announced his commitment to the Tigers' Class of 2018 Saturday night.
According to Tigerblitz.com, Perfect Game ranks the 6-4, 193-pound Costello as the No. 113 overall prospect nationally and No. 37 overall right-handed pitcher in the 2018 class. Also, Costello is the No. 26 overall prospect in the state of Florida and the No. 8 overall right-handed pitcher.
Costello has been pitching in the 17 years old and under WWBA national championship tourney.
