After taking the opener on Friday night, LSU secured a series victory over Fordham with a 15-1 win in game one of Saturday’s day-night doubleheader.
The Tigers got on the board early, taking a 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI double by Beau Jordan. They added five more in the second, with the rally starting on Jordan Romero’s third home run of the season.
Three batters later, Kramer Robertson singled in two runs and then scored on Jake Fraley’s first home run of the season.
Benefitting from an early lead, senior right-hander John Valek III had another solid start, throwing five innings while giving up just one run on three hits and a walk.
