Junior starting pitcher Jared Poche continued a dominant 2016 campaign on Friday night, while the bats provided more than enough firepower. The end result was a 12-1 blowout victory for the LSU baseball team over the outmatched Fordham Rams.
The Tigers improved to 7-2 on the season with the win, while Fordham fell to 3-5.
Poche delivered seven shutout innings for LSU, allowing eight hits and striking out five batters en route to his 20th career victory.
