Former LSU baseball player Todd Walker will have his No. 12 retired during a pregame ceremony April 14, after the LSU Hall of Fame Committee unanimously approved the number retirement in May, the school announced Thursday.
Walker was a two-time first-team All-American and Golden Spikes finalist, and he led LSU to the 1993 College World Series title, earning the College World Series Most Outstanding Player award.
The native of Bossier City posted a .396 average over three seasons, was named first-team all-SEC three times and was voted the SEC Player of the Year in 1993.
