LSU announces 7 p.m. kickoff for April 22 spring game; SEC Network to televise

The LSU spring game April 22 will have a nighttime kickoff for the first time since another first-year coach held the reigns.

In announcing a 7 p.m. kickoff for the game at Tiger Stadium, the school said the spring game under first-year coach Ed Orgeron would be the first with a nighttime kickoff since Gerry DiNardo concluded his first spring as coach in 1995.

NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune previously reported a nighttime spring game as being in the works.

LSU will practice a total of 15 times during the spring, starting March 11.

With the game televised by SEC Network, LSU joins the rest of the Southeastern Conference schools in having their spring games televised.
