LSU will host in-state FCS member McNeese State in its 2021 home opener, AD Joe Alleva announced Tuesday.
The Tigers and Cowboys will meet September 11, 2021, which will follow LSU’s season opener against UCLA at the Rose Bowl.
The LSU-McNeese matchup will be the third meeting between the teams and the first since the cancellation of their 2015 game, which was called early in the first quarter. McNeese State is in Lake Charles, La., which is about 130 miles west of Baton Rouge.
The Tigers still have two more non-conference games to schedule for the 2021 season.
