Losing a second straight Super Regional isn't an option for experienced LSU

So here we are.

It's where LSU has been 12 times before since the NCAA created Super Regionals for its baseball tournament in 1999.

Two wins from the College World Series.

Seven times - all on their home field -- the Tigers collected the required pair of Super Regionals victories to advance to their early summer vacation home in Omaha.

Once in the dozen Super Regional appearances did LSU face a fellow SEC team, getting swept at Alabama in 1999.

That changes tonight at 8 in an emotionally-charged Alex Box Stadium when the Tigers and fellow SEC West Division rival Mississippi State play for the 387th time and the first ever in a Super Regional.
