Last night LSU baseball opened the weekend series against Miss St. with a resounding clobbering, 10-1. The Tigers took a tight 2-0 lead into the 7th, thanks to a Zach Watson home run and Zach Hess having another dominate outing. Then LSU blew it open in the top of the 7th with a two out, eight hit, seven run barrage that quickly put the game out of hand. LSU players gave credit for their improved approach to Coach Mainieri’s “BP from hell” on Wednesday. It was LSU’s eighth straight win over the cowbells, a streak that now crosses three season.
