BATON ROUGE, La. – Lindsey Scott Jr. is out at LSU.
In a football preseason in Baton Rouge that has been kept pretty much off-limits to non-national media, the departure of a quarterback buried on the depth chart is akin to ringing a bell for Pavlov’s dog to fans hungry for football.
So rev up the panic carousel about the program holding onto quarterbacks.
Here’s the thing, though: The problem, while undoubtedly glaring for the Tigers because of the sheer number of quarterbacks who never completed their eligibility in purple-and-gold, is a tough circle to pull away from and is one with which plenty of programs grapple.
