BATON ROUGE, La. – Slow down Leonard Fournette.
Easy enough to type, and realistic to come up with a game plan. Not all that simple to pull off, though.
For Mississippi State’s defense, that almost certainly sits near the top of the to-do list Saturday when the Bulldogs take on LSU at Tiger Stadium.
What Derrius Guice, Darrel Williams and Nick Brossette showed last week, though, is that the LSU rushing attack is more than a one-man show, and that’s where the key matchup lies this week for the Tigers.
It’s not much of a secret that LSU will build its offensive plan around running the ball, especially with Fournette apparently back healthy from an ankle that prompted him to sit out last week in a 34-13 victory against Jacksonville State.
