LB Deion Jones, DB Jalen Mills star at LSU’s pro day

Jones was clocked in 4.59 seconds at last month’s NFL Scouting Combine. But LSU reported his unofficial 40 times Monday and they were absolutely blistering for a linebacker: 4.38 and 4.40. He also had a vertical jump of 35.5 inches.

Jalen Mills, who played both cornerback and safety at LSU but projects best at safety in the NFL, also improved his 40 time. He was clocked in a pedestrian 4.61 seconds at the combine, then turned in clockings of 4.48 and 4.51 seconds Monday.

Keep in mind that Monday’s times were unofficial.

Both players seem likely to go on the second day.
