Landon Marceaux is the second LSU Tiger to hear his name called in the 2021 MLB Draft, being selected in the third round, 80th overall, by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Marceaux started the season as LSU’s Saturday starter but had to become the ace of the pitching staff after Jaden Hill was lost for the season in April with an injury to his pitching elbow that required Tommy John surgery.
He rose to the occasion and emerged as one of the best arms in the ultra-talented SEC. Marceaux was a hard-luck loser a few times and had a 7-7 record, but posted a 2.
