Baton Rouge, La. – LSU jumper JuVaughn Harrison has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division I Men's Athlete of the Week the organization announced on Tuesday morning.
Harrison competed in the long jump for the first time since mid-March on Saturday at the LSU Alumni Gold meet and boy did he come out jumping. His best leap of the day came in the fourth out of six rounds when he soared a distance of 27' 8.25" (8.44 meters) for an outdoor personal best in the event.
