LSU locked up their star back of the future when John Emery signed his LOI to LSU this afternoon. Emery, a five-star running back, at times looked destined to leave the state, even verbally committing to Georgia for a spell. Nevertheless, Mickey Joseph and Tommie Robinson stuck on him and Emery eventually re-opened his commitment and then ultimately pledged to LSU and hasn’t looked back.
Emery Jr. is the second-ranked tailback in the nation, and brings to LSU a multi-threat skillset which should make him a weapon in the rushing and passing games.
