Jeremy Foley plays SEC like a fiddle in one last hurrah as Florida AD

BATON ROUGE, La. – How about one, final slow clap for outgoing Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley.

During his quarter century leading the Florida athletic department, Foley has painted many masterpieces. We should have known he had one final power stroke up his sleeve.

As a parting gift to Gator Nation, Foley artfully played newbie SEC commissioner Greg Sankey like a fiddle, resulting in Saturday’s game against LSU being cancel…err, postponed indefinitely.

On Thursday, Sankey finally stepped in and made the call to suspend the game which was scheduled for noon ET in Gainesville, an area expected to feel the force of Hurricane Matthew’s terror.
