Jayden Daniels was awarded the first of hopefully many prominent national awards Thursday as Daniels won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
As stated by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation, the award is given annually to “the nation’s top quarterback who best exemplifies character, scholastic and athletic achievement.”
Daniels is the second Tiger quarterback to win the Unitas award, joining Joe Burrow in 2019.
Is this an early indication that more awards are in Daniels’s future? Who knows, but I’m choosing to look at it as a sign of things to come. Daniels is also a finalist for the two other top quarterback awards: the Manning and Davey O’Brien.
