For the fifth time this season Jayden Daniels was once again recognized by the SEC as the conference’s player of the week. This time around he shared the honors with Missouri’s Brady Cook.
Jayden did what an elite offense is supposed to do to an overmatched opponent: put up video game numbers. Daniels tied Joe Burrow’s record for touchdowns responsible for with eight (8), throwing for six and running for two. Not to diminish what Daniels did, but let’s not forget Burrow scored eight touchdowns against Oklahoma in a damn national semifinal game. Let me be the latest to remind you: 2019 LSU was nuts.
