Baton Rouge, La. – LSU soccer added transfer Wasila Diwura-Soale and incoming freshman Cass Romero on Friday. Diwura-Soale comes to LSU via Lamar University, and Romero is a native of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Diwura-Soale will make an immediate impact for LSU once she arrives in Baton Rouge. Diwura-Soale is a dynamic midfielder that plays with exceptional pace, has great vision of the pitch, and can finish in the box when needed. A native of Accra, Ghana, Diwura-Soale made three appearances representing Ghana at the 2016 u20 World Cup.
"Wasila will become the first African soccer player here at LSU," LSU soccer head coach Sian Hudson mentioned.
