LSU baseball's exhibition Sunday (Oct. 14) against University of New Orleans was always going to be about the new guys. Even before the long list of injuries that hit his team this fall, Paul Mainieri said in July the focus in the new fall format would be seeing what the first-year guys could do.
LSU had the No. 1 signing class in the country, according to Baseball America and D1Baseball.com, and most of those signings either started or played in LSU's 8-7 loss Sunday.
