BATON ROUGE – LSU men’s basketball players took part in reading to youngsters Wednesday at LaSalle Elementary in Baton Rouge.
The event was in conjunction with National Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day.
The date marks the birthday of late writer and illustrator, Theodor Seuss Geisel, also known as Dr. Seuss.
The National Education Association created an initiative in conjunction with the author's birthday which is now in its 19th year.
“I loved sharing the fun of reading with the kids at LaSalle Elementary,” said senior Henry Shortess, who will graduate from LSU in May.
