BATON ROUGE – Walt Holliday, who has played a key role in the academic success of LSU student-athletes for the past decade, has been named the executive director for the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes, the university announced on Monday.
Holliday has served as the interim director of the academic center since November. He replaces Kenneth Miles who left the university back in the fall. Holliday has served in various roles on the Academic Center staff since 2009 including Director of Academic Affairs.
"Walt has been a tremendous asset to our student-athletes and coaching staff for many years and we are excited to have him serve as the executive director of the Cox Communications Academic Center," LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward said.
