Hahnville 2018 athlete Anthony "Pooka" Williams committed to Kansas Saturday while visiting for junior day.
The 5-foot-9, 170 pounder is being recruited by Jayhawks running back coach Tony Hull, the former Warren Easton head coach.
Williams, who has been clocked running a 4.27 in the 40-yard dash, is considered an all-purpose back by recruiting services, but does a little bit of everything for Hahnville, including possibly playing quarterback this upcoming season.
Williams has offers from Mississippi State, Virginia, Tulane, Texas Tech, Memphis, Northwestern, Ball State and others. LSU, Alabama and a few other big-time programs have shown interest in Williams by either reaching out to Hahnville coach Nick Saltaformaggio or dropping by the school.
