With Leonard Fournette off to the NFL, there are carries to be had in the LSU backfield in 2017. If his offseason work is an indication, freshman Clyde Edwards-Helaire is serious about earning more than a few of those.
Appearing on “After Further Review” on 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge Tuesday, Edwards-Helaire said he now weighs 213 pounds, up from his senior playing weight of 195 pounds.
“You can blame that on Coach Moffitt’s workout,” Edwards-Helaire said jokingly, referring to strength and conditioning coordinator Tommy Moffitt. “This is good weight. Then a lot of people say, ‘Will he be able to run?
