Former LSU assistant coach Frank Wilson hit it big in his first season as head coach, as Texas-San Antonio became bowl eligible for the first time in school history Saturday. Read about it in this story from the San Antonio Express-News.
Wilson, who coached at LSU from 2010-15, led his team to a 33-14 victory against Charlotte to finish its sixth season at 6-6, 5-3 in Conference USA.
A New Orleans native and former high school coach, Wilson got a Gatorade bath from players and a ride off the field.
"It was cold," Wilson said.
