Former USC, LSU players charged with robberies

LOS ANGELES -- Authorities say one former football player from USC and another from LSU have been charged with a string of robberies and a carjacking in South Los Angeles.

The L.A. County district attorney's office says in a statement that ex-USC tight end Bryce Dixon and former LSU defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao were charged Thursday with five counts of second-degree robbery and one count each of carjacking, attempted carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon.

Dixon pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Thursday, and his bail was set at $420,000, according to the Orange County Register.
