Former LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger will again be in search of a new NFL home.
The Pittsburgh Steelers announced his release just two days after the team used a fourth-round pick to select former Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs.
Mettenberger spent the 2016 season with the Steelers but saw no game action. He joined the team one day after the San Diego Chargers waived him during the preseason.
The Tennessee Titans selected Mettenberger in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft and he made 10 starts over two seasons with the team. He completed 60.3 percent of his passes and threw 12 touchdown passes against 14 interceptions.
