Former LSU quarterback Anthony Jennings has been named the starter at Louisiana-Lafayette, less than six months after leaving the Tigers.
The one-time prominent Tigers recruit has won the starting spot for the Ragin’ Cajuns. ULL coach Mark Hudspeth made the announcement shortly after practice.
A four-star recruit originally from Marietta, Ga., Jennings struggled for most of his LSU career. In his freshman campaign in 2013, he appeared in nine games with one start, going 13-of-29 with one touchdown and one interception.
He took over as LSU’s starting quarterback in 2014, but wasn’t able to hold the position over the long term.
