A former LSU football player will be battling for a championship Saturday.
Shawn Jordan, a former Tigers fullback, will headline World Series of Fighting 35 in a heavyweight title bout against Blagoy Ivanov on Saturday night in Verona, New York.
Jordan (19-7) made 40 appearances during his LSU career from 2003-07 and won two national championships. After beginning his MMA career 9-1 fighting mostly in small promotions in the South, he later caught the attention of bigger promotions such as Bellator and Strikeforce.
