Former LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu did a lot for the Tigers on the field during his time as a player at the school.
Now, he’s doing his part to give back to it.
During the first quarter of Saturday’s LSU-Alabama game, it was announced that Mathieu had pledged $1 million to the Tigers Athletic Foundation to go toward upgrades to its football operations center and the creation of another endowed scholarship for the football team.
Mathieu was joined out on the field with Tiger Athletic Foundation president and CEO Rick Perry and LSU athletic director Joe Alleva for the announcement.
