BATON ROUGE -- On Saturday, former LSU great, Tyrann Mathieu, was honored in Tiger Stadium during LSU football’s game against Alabama. Mathieu has committed $1 million to Tiger Athletic Foundation to benefit the LSU Football Operation Center and establish an endowed scholarship benefitting the LSU Football Program.
“This gift is a testament to Tyrann’s love of LSU and Tiger Football and his desire to provide opportunities for future Tigers to achieve their dreams,” said TAF CEO and President, Rick Perry.
Mathieu’s generous gift to Football Operations will touch and enrich the lives of current and future members of the LSU football team, and the endowed scholarship will play a vital role in ensuring that current and future student-athletes have the opportunity to earn an LSU degree.
