Football Signs Texas Tech Transfer WR Jonathan Giles

BATON ROUGE – Jonathan Giles, the leading receiver on Texas Tech's high-powered offense in 2016, has transferred to LSU, head coach Ed Orgeron announced.

Giles will have to sit out the 2017 season due to NCAA transfer rules but he will be able to practice with the Tigers during the fall. Giles will have two years of eligibility remaining.

As a sophomore at Texas Tech in 2016, Giles emerged as not only the top receiver for the Red Raiders, but one of the most productive at his position in college football. Giles led Texas Tech in receiving yards (1,158), touchdowns (13) and receptions (69).
