BATON ROUGE -- The LSU football team finished the regular season ranked 21st in the College Football Playoff Rankings, it was announced Tuesday evening.
LSU (8-3, 5-3 SEC), which defeated Texas A&M on Saturday at Tiger Stadium, awaits its postseason bowl berth for the 16th-straight season. Matchups are expected to be announced by 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The Tigers are among five SEC teams ranked in this week's poll that determines teams that will make the four-team College Football Playoffs.
