Football Legend, Hall of Famer Y.A. Tittle Dies, 90

BATON ROUGE -- Four-time LSU Football letterwinner, Professional Football Hall of Famer and 1963 NFL MVP Yelberton "Y.A." Tittle Jr. died Sunday night at Stanford Hospital near his home in Atherton, Calif.

He was 90-years-old.

Tittle lettered from 1944-47 and led LSU to victory in the 1947 Cotton Bowl following his junior season. He was named All-SEC as a quarterback in both 1946 and 1947.
