BATON ROUGE – LSU went through its first full squad and full pads practice of the preseason here Monday as the Tigers continue to prepare for the season-opener against McNeese State on Sept. 5 in Tiger Stadium.
Monday marked the fifth day of practice for the Tigers. The team was split into two groups – veterans and newcomers – for the first four days of camp.
“First day in pads, and it was a nice, hot day,” LSU coach Les Miles said following the morning workout. “We had some Big Cat (drill) and initiation of what is our culture.
