Football Can't Overcome Arkansas' Fast Start

BATON ROUGE -- Arkansas built a 21-0 lead before the half and handed the LSU football team its second-straight loss, 31-14, on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.

LSU (7-2, 4-2 SEC), which lost consecutive games for the third time in Les Miles' 11 seasons, returns to action on Nov. 21 when the Tigers travel to face Ole Miss. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT in Oxford's Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

The Tigers scored on consecutive possessions spanning the halves to pull within a touchdown. With 24 seconds to play in the first half, Malachi Dupre scored with a 5-yard reception off a deflected pass from quarterback Brandon Harris in the direction of Travin Dural.
