BATON ROUGE – LSU long snapper Blake Ferguson has been selected to represent the Tigers on the 2018 Southeastern Conference Football Community Service Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.
One player from each of the 14 SEC institutions is selected to represent their team on the SEC Football Community Service Team.
Ferguson, a junior from Buford, Georgia, continues to be active in community service events, in particular those involving diabetes research. He has been heavily involved over the past year with the American Diabetes Association. Ferguson is a type 1 diabetic having been diagnosed with the disease as an eighth grader in January of 2011.
