BATON ROUGE, La. — Ed Orgeron was quick to point out after Saturday’s win over Syracuse that there is no quarterback controversy at LSU. He reiterated Monday that senior Danny Etling is the team’s starting quarterback.
Actions, as they say, speak louder than words.
With the game against the Orange in the balance, true freshman Myles Brennan replaced Etling late in the third quarter. Former LSU quarterback Rohan Davey, who found himself in a quarterback rotation with Josh Booty during the 1999 and 2000 seasons, is all too familiar with this situation.
“Of course you have a quarterback controversy,” Davey said Tuesday on my radio show.
