Former LSU football wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase would’ve almost certainly been a top 10 selection in the 2020 NFL Draft had he been eligible (he was only a sophomore at the time).
Chase caught 84 passes for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns in 15 games in 2019. Insane numbers for a sophomore wide receiver.
Heading into the 2020 season, it seemed like a formality that Chase would be the top wide receiver selected in the 2021 NFL Draft.
And then COVID-19 changed everything.
