During Ed Orgeron’s weekly meeting with reporters, the LSU head football coach provided updates on the health of sophomore corner Derek Stingley Jr. and senior wide receiver Racey McMath.
Stingley appeared to take a knee to head returning a punt midway through the third quarter of LSU’s 27-24 win over Arkansas. Stingley attended Monday’s practice but wore a gold non-contact jersey.
“He’s not totally cleared to play yet,” Orgeron said. “But it looks like he’s going to be fine.”
Stingley’s injury took a toll on the LSU secondary. The Tigers entered the game without safeties Jordan Toles and Mo Hampton Jr.
