LSU football head coach Ed Orgeron filled a big vacancy on his staff this week by hiring Scott Linehan as the Tigers’ new passing game coordinator.
Linehan replaces Joe Brady, who left LSU in January to become the Carolina Panthers’ new offensive coordinator.
In Linehan, the Tigers are getting a coach with an impressive resumé. Linehan coached at the collegiate level for over 10 years, including stops at Washington and Louisville. He was then an offensive coordinator in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys. Linehan was also the St Louis Rams’ head coach from 2006-08.
